Card Access Request

Please not that changes have been made to buildings regarding card access after-hours due to safety and security reasons. To facilitate after-hours building access for students, please adhere to the following procedures:

Requests Within Standard Operating Hours

If the desired access falls within the building's standard operating hours (7am-10pm, Mon-Fri), you would need to submit directly through this online form.

Requests Outside Standard Operating Hours

  • For access needed beyond the building's regular hours, the building administrator must submit the request on behalf of the students. The submission should include specific dates (e.g., 2/18-5/9) and times (e.g., 10pm-12am) for the required access, extending up to the last day of classes if necessary.
  • The requested student(s) are not to have 24/7 access to a building or room.
  • Please note that, for security and liability reasons, students must be accompanied by an attendant or supervisor during after-hours building access. This policy ensures the safety of our students and the security of university facilities.
  • To ensure students have access to interior rooms during weekends, the building administrator must submit a "Schedule Door Events" request through the Department of Public Safety's online form. This submission should include the specific dates (e.g., 2/18-5/9) and times (e.g., 8:00 AM-2:00 PM) for which the building needs to be open.
  • Please note that without this request, students' card access to interior rooms may be restricted during these periods.

Approver Information

No student has 24/7 access to academic buildings for academia purposes, only faculty and staff of their assigned buildings. For student access after-hours (up until midnight-weekdays and 8pm on weekends), the building administrator must submit the ESS form.
