West Chester University and Montgomery County Community College are pleased to offer pathways to help you earn both your associate and bachelor’s degrees through specific articulation agreements. Regardless of the program option you choose, your success is our top priority.
Concurrent Nursing
Earn your Associate Degree in Nursing and your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the same time! Traditionally, students must already be licensed registered nurses or hold an ADN or AASN prior to enrolling in a BSN program. Our agreement with MCCC allows qualified students to complete both their Associate Degree in Nursing and BSN in just 24-30 months. Take in-person classes at MCCC paired with online BSN courses through WCU.

Before you apply, you must:
- Be currently enrolled as an AASN student at Montgomery County Community College with a cumulative GPA of 2.75, and be in good academic standing
- Formally apply to WCU for Admission into the concurrent nursing option
- Meet all WCU RN-BSN Prerequisites as outlined in the agreement and comply with all MCCC and WCU policies, including academic and financial requirement
- Complete the Enrollment Verification Form. This needs to be signed by the Montco nursing department. Upload the verification form with your application.
Core-to-Core
The core-to-core agreement allows MC3 students with an associate degree to transfer credits that fulfill WCU’s general education requirements.

- All WCU gen ed requirements, except Diverse Communities (3-credits) are waived

Before you apply, you must:
- Submit a letter of intent prior to completing 30 credits at MCCC
- MCCC students must earn an A.A., A.S., A.A.S, or A.F.A. degree
Co-Admissions & Dual Admissions
The co-admissions pathway is for students who apply to but are not offered admission to WCU for academic or capacity reasons. WCU will provide these students conditional acceptance when they enroll at MCCC.
Dual admissions is for new MCCC students and those who have not yet completed 30 credits at MCCC. WCU will provide these students with a conditional offer of acceptance.
Both co-admissions and dual admissions students allow students to earn two degrees, make an impact on two campuses, and save on tuition.
