The Department of Music Education prepares its majors for successful careers as music teachers through courses. The West Chester University of Pennsylvania School of Music's Applied Music Department offers a wide variety of performance degrees, including a Bachelor of Music in Performance and Master of Music in Performance.The West Chester University of Pennsylvania School of Music's Theory, History, and Composition Department offers a wide variety of degrees, including a Bachelor of Music in Theory, History, Composition, Elective Studies with an Outside Field, and a Master of Music in Theory/Composition and History. Additionally, the department offers minors in General Music and Music Production.
