• Handling financial, student or personnel data/records - This position will provide general assistance with:
- general office duties and assisting students
- Specific duties as they relate to this department:
- answering phones, making phone calls, xeroxing, data entry, filing, typing, responding to students' questions, pulling students' files for faculty advisors, running errands, providing general assistance to faculty and students
- Learning Outcomes:
- The student assistant will gain valuable interpersonal skills through his/her interaction with various faculty, staff, students, criminal justice professionals, and guest speakers and others hosted by the department. Other skills that will be strengthened through the experience are verbal and written communication, research skills, time management, and customer service skills. These skills are transferable to a broad variety of academic and professional settings.
