Biography

Dr. Paul Rotenberry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at West Chester University. Dr. Rotenberry earned his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron. Dr. Rotenberry also earned his Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional credential. Before coming to West Chester University, he taught in the Colleges of Business Administration at Cleveland State University and the University of Akron. In addition, he taught in the University of Akron's Community and Technical College, along with the College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Rotenberry's Teaching at WCU was nominated for the U.S. Professors of the Year Awards in 2012. As a member of the Academy of Business Education, the Academy of Management, the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society, and the Society for Human Resource Management, Dr. Rotenberry's research falls into two streams: pedagogy and the understanding and prediction of human behavior. His pedagogical research has covered effective methods of teaching topics ranging from persuasive communication to emotions in the workplace. His empirical research has covered subjects such as the influence of job involvement on employee performance and the validity of the in-basket assessment method. Dr. Rotenberry's research has been published in such outlets as the Journal of the Academy of Business Education and the International Journal of Selection and Assessmen
