Biography
The Chirdon lab currently works on developing transition metal catalysts for generation of hydrogen fuel from water using renewable electricity. Additionally, our group studies rare earth metals for conversion of CO2 greenhouse gas using sunlight. Students working in this group will gain experience in synthesis of catalysts but also characterization of their performance using photoreactors, electrochemistry, and GC gas quantification.
