Nutrition Department Overview

The mission of the Department of Nutrition in the College of Health Sciences at West Chester University is to shape tomorrow’s nutrition and dietetics professionals and leaders through quality, relevant, and innovative teaching, service, and scholarship. The Nutrition Department offers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The degree and curriculum options offer a wide variety of rewarding career opportunities including clinical dietetics, community/public health nutrition, sports nutrition, wellness, foodservice management, and more.

Undergraduate Degree Concentrations and Minor

Both undergraduate concentrations are designed the same for all first-year students, so ideally students will select a concentration when they are scheduling courses for their third semester. All students should work with their academic advisors to help choose the appropriate concentration.
